Scapular protraction
During scapular protraction, the scapula and all the muscles attached to it move forward along with the upper limb. The thorax is this big spherical egg, and the anterior surface of the scapula is curved to match it. Thus the scapula can glide freely along the surface of the thorax enabling the movement!
