The Anatomical Snuffbox

The anatomical snuffbox is a triangular depression at the back of the hand between tendons inserting into the thumb. Thus, it's most visible when the thumb is extended. The anatomical snuffbox's medial border is the Extensor Pollicis Longus tendon, and its lateral border is the parallel tendons of the Extensor Pollicis Brevis and Abductor Pollicis Longus muscles.
